2024 ACEC-NB Engineering Excellence Awards:
SUBMISSION FORM

Engineering Excellence Award (five awards): The top ranked entry in this award category will receive the Pinnacle Award for the project deemed to demonstrate highest level of consulting engineering excellence by the judging panel.

There is a registration fee of $300 + HST for the first project submission and an additional $150 for any additional project submissions up to a maximum of 3 project submissions per firm. ACEC-NB will send you an invoice once your submission(s) is/are received.

Submitted projects must have been completed within 14 months of the application deadline of February 17, 2024.

Project Information

Provide a clear summary of the project that will be used for a public presentation and to be inserted into the brochure we will publish for the Awards Gala. This description along with your other answers below will be what the awards judges use to determine the top projects. This information will also used by ACEC-NB to showcase consulting engineering to the government and to the public. 

Please use plain language and avoid technical jargon where possible.
The summary should include:

  • Client Name
  • Client’s Project Objective
  • Your role in the project
  • Project Scope and Achievements
  • Project complexity and/or use of innovation
  • The project’s social, economic, climate change and/or environmental benefits
  • Completion date

Briefly introduce your project and its objective(s).

Explain what was accomplished and outline its significance.

Explain how this project demonstrates unique solutions and engineering achievement.

Describe this project’s technical excellence and innovation.

How is it distinguishable from similar projects of its type?

Please describe any extraordinary problems and conditions that were overcome.

Explain the social and economic benefits to society provided by your project.

Be specific and provide qualitative and quantitative information.


Where applicable, nominees should indicate how they incorporated any or all of the following;

  • Worked collaboratively with community partners

  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in the promotion of diversity
  • Championed teamwork and collaboration

  • Inspired others to effect positive change
